About the lessons:
I enjoy teaching all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Lessons are tailored to meet individual goals, musical interests and styles. ( jazz, classical, pop etc.)
Areas covered include theory, harmony, improvisation, repertoire and sound.
If you’re interested in composing, we can look at how to get started or how to expand your ideas. I believe composition can be explored at all levels of ability and helps with many aspects of playing.
Lessons can be taught in English, French or Portuguese.
About me:
I’m Franco-British – grew up in Paris, then moved to the US to study at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. After graduating, I lived in New York for six years and worked as a vocal accompanist, a music teacher and led a trio, recording nine albums, and accompanying performers such as Gino Sitson and Amy Winehouse. After eleven years in the US, I returned to Europe and am now based in Lisbon, Portugal.
Alongside playing and teaching, I compose for moving image, and theatre, and have also created a series of apps (Melody Cats) for helping beginners learn how to read music.
